Abstract

Abstract: The UN 2030 Agenda, through SDG 3 ("Good Health and Well-Being"), aims to combat epidemics such as AIDS (SDG 3.3). Health education emerges as an effective strategy to reduce misinformation and improve the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), especially given the risks of chronic diseases associated with antiretroviral treatment. Objective: to report the development of a health education product to promote the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Methodology: The "Vidah Positiva" extension project (UFAL/UNCISAL, 2022-2024) involved multidisciplinary teams in the creation of a booklet with accessible language, divided into four axes: cardiometabolic risk, adherence to treatment, healthy eating, and physical exercise. The material included monitoring tables, evidence-based guidelines and a mascot (Cora) for engagement. It was made available in physical and digital formats in health services in Alagoas. Results and Discussion: The booklet facilitated understanding of HIV care, with high acceptance by the public. The interdisciplinarity ensured scientific basis, while the dynamic design (images, tables) and alternative channels (Instagram, Whatsapp) expanded access, including for people with low education levels. Conclusion: The initiative reinforced the role of university extension in the democratization of knowledge, integrating academia and society. The booklet proved to be an effective tool for health education, reducing misinformation and promoting quality of life, in line with the SDGs and public health policies.
