Black corporeities and aesthetics in the Abí Axé Egbé cultural equipment as a form of resistance to racism

The main objective of this work was to study how black men and women, especially those participating in the Grupo de Cultura Negra do Sertão Abí Axé Egbé at the Federal University of Alagoas, in Delmiro Gouveia, perceive and externalize their Corporeities and black aesthetics as a form of resistance to racism. For this purpose, this research was based on the concepts of corporeality (Petry Trapp, 2023), blackness (Munanga, 2012), and racism (Gomes, 2002 and Almeida, 2020). The research methodology was based on field research and qualitative bias, anchored in a bibliographic review, documentary research on virtual pages linked to the Grupo de Cultura Negra do Sertão Abí Axé Egbé, and as instruments for the investigation, the interview with the coordinator and the application of a questionnaire, made available through the use of the Google Forms tool, to the members of the referred group. From there, categories of analysis were alabored as an interpretative strategy to understand the performance of this group that promotes Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations (ERER) and its relationship with the body. We believe that this work will enable reflections on black corporeality in contemporary Brazil by highlighting the ideas, proposals and actions of the group, especially in the fight against racism
