Author Biographies

Pedro Abelardo de Santana, Federal University of Alagoas

Ph.D. in Social History from UFBA, 2015 (with a sandwich internship at the University of Salamanca); Postdoctoral fellow with a PNPD/CAPES/UFS grant, 2015–2017; M.A. in Geography—specialization in Archaeological Studies (2004); B.A. in History from UFS (2001); Adjunct professor in the History program at UFAL, Sertão Campus; tenured professor in the Master’s program in History at UFAL.

Sheyla Farias Silva, Federal University of Sergipe

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in History (UFS/2002), a Master’s degree in History (UFBA/2005), and a Ph.D. in Geography (UFS/2021). She is currently a professor in the Museology Program at the Federal University of Alagoas and in the Professional Graduate Program in History Education at the Federal University of Sergipe (2024—where she currently serves as program coordinator). She is a postdoctoral fellow in Public History (Unespar/2023) and coordinates the Laboratory of Teaching, Memories, Identities, and Histories (LABEMIH).

José Vieira da Cruz, Federal University of Sergipe

Ph.D. in History (UFBA/2012), postdoctoral fellow in Education (UFPE/2022). He has been working since 2021 with the Professional Graduate Program in History Education (PROFHISTÓRIA/UFS) and since 2025 with the Graduate Program in History (PROHIS/UFS).
