Abstract

A presente nota tem como objetivo principal apresentar o sítio rupestre Cueva de las Caritas, identificado durante visita e prospecções na zona rural de Chavarrillo Pueblo, município de Emiliano Zapata no estado de Veracruz – México. O sítio em questão se trata de um pequeno abrigo sob rocha que possui três painéis rupestres com diferentes motivos gravados. Portanto, este trabalho é de cunho informativo, ao mesmo tempo em que chama atenção da comunidade cientifica para os desafios e possibilidades de estudo, preservação/conservação e valoração do patrimônio local/regional.
