Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Authors should remove any references that could enable their identification, including personal names, institutional affiliations, or indirect information that reveals authorship.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, justification must be provided in “Comments to the editor.”
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF format.
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in the Guidelines for Authors, on the About the Journal page.
  • All authors correctly reported their ORCID identifiers.
  • All authors correctly reported their institutional affiliations.
  • All authors correctly submitted their Mini Biographies (maximum 100 words, in the language of the article).
  • Authors must attach a statement of originality, confirming that the material has not been published or is not under review by another journal.

Author Guidelines

The Caeté Journal of Humanities publishes original articles. They must present a significant advance in the level of knowledge on the subject they address. Articles submitted for publication, after being reviewed by the editorial board, will only be sent to scientific advisors if they comply with the following guidelines:


GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING PAPERS

Permission for the reproduction of images is the sole responsibility of the authors, as is compliance with Brazilian copyright law. References must follow the recommendations of APA 7th Edition and be listed at the end of the text under the heading References.


The structure of articles must strictly follow the following order:

  • Title in bold in the original language of the text.
  • Title in bold translated into two of the other languages accepted by the journal (Portuguese, Spanish, English).
  • Abstract in the original language of the article, highlighting the objective, methodology, results, and conclusions. Between 130 and 150 words, accompanied by a set of keywords (minimum of 3 and maximum of 5), separated by periods and commas.
  • Abstract and keywords must be typed in Arial, font size 11, single spaced.
  • Abstract translated into two of the other languages accepted by the journal (Portuguese, Spanish, English).
  • Keywords must also be translated into two of the other accepted languages
    Articles must be typed in Word (.docx), in Arial, font size 11, with 1.5 line spacing and justified paragraphs.
  • The paragraph indentation should start at 1.25 cm. Except for references, which will be aligned to the left margin.
  • They must have a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 pages (A4), including summary, abstract, resumen, images, graphics, references, notes, etc.
  • Articles should be referenced using the APA 7th Edition author-date system.
  • Footnotes should only be used for supplementary information.

 

SUBMISSION OF UNIDENTIFIED CONTRIBUTIONS FOR EVALUATION


Caeté Magazine adopts an anonymous peer review system, ensuring that both the identity of the authors and the reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process. To ensure anonymity, authors are requested to remove any references that could enable their identification when submitting manuscripts electronically, including personal names, institutional affiliations, or indirect information that reveals authorship.
Authors must declare that they are aware of and in full agreement with all editorial standards established by the journal. Submissions that do not meet the guidelines or present formal inadequacies will be returned to the authors for the necessary corrections before proceeding with the evaluation process.

Works submitted to Revista Caeté must be original and unpublished, and may not have been previously presented, published, or submitted to other journals, media, social networks, or any other means of dissemination.
The submission of manuscripts constitutes the transfer of copyright to Revista Caeté for the purposes of first publication, with the authors remaining responsible for the content and ideas presented.


GUIDELINES ON REFERENCES APA STYLE 7TH EDITION

The standard considers that the sources cited in the scientific work must be:

  • listed at the end of the work in alphabetical order by the author's last name (lowercase), followed by the initials of the first names and date in parentheses;
  • indented 1.25 cm from the second line and aligned to the left;
  • for multiple works by the same author, list the entries in chronological order, from oldest to most recent;
  • regardless of the physical medium (book, journal article, slide, CD-ROM, DVD, electronic documents, etc.), present the cited works in a single list;
  • italics are used to highlight the title/subtitle of publications and journals.
  • if the work has between 2 and 20 authors, use & before the last author.
  • Highlight the title/subtitle of the work in italics and start with a capital letter.
