Despite the advances achieved by the LGBTQIAPN+ community, there is a reduced inclusion of this group in health services. Considering the scarcity of studies that summarize the difficulties in accessing health services for the LGBTQIAPN+ population, the objective was to identify the barriers to effective access of this population to Primary Health Care (PHC).
This is an Integrative Review regarding the impasses in access to health for the LGBTQIAPN+ community in PHC. The collection took place in five databases: PUBMED, Lilacs, SciELO, Web of Science and CINAHL, locating 422 results. Duplicate articles, studies not carried out in Brazil and literature reviews were excluded. The final sample consisted of 20 articles.
It was observed that there are few actions aimed at the LGBTQIAPN + population in health services. Furthermore, these users normally do not receive assistance according to their needs, which prevents the adequate care. It has been demonstrated that some health workers ignore the existence of LGBT support networks, making it difficult to achieve comprehensiveness.
The main barriers were identified as: intolerant perspectives among professionals and the structural problems of the health system, making it necessary to requalify the production of care for these minority groups, carrying out inclusive practices.
