Abstract

This experience report is the result of the extension project “Modern Board Games as a Tool for Socialization and Learning”, carried out between August 2023 and November 2024. The project aimed to create a playful and educational environment where participants could develop cognitive, emotional, and social skills while interacting, learning, and having fun with different types of analog games. We understand that modern board games within the university setting promote socialization among individuals and contribute to the development of essential skills for academic life. Thus, this report aims to present the project's trajectory and, most importantly, the results achieved throughout its implementation, highlighting its relevance for the social and cognitive development of the participants, as well as the implications for future phases of the initiative.
